Professor Cele Otnes said Express United Kingdom all the events that coincided with the departure of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from the royal family take the spotlight away from their rebranding plans. The marketing expert told the publication:

“Meghan and Harry have had the rug pulled out from under them by Covid, with their attempt to try and build their brand here. Covid has really ripped off the headlines. Russia grabs the headlines. China is in the headlines.

the Royal Fever The author said Queen Elizabeth’s upcoming Platinum Jubilee also confuses Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s rebranding campaign. Cele Otnes added:

“In Britain, because the celebrations are taking place there and they are starting now for the Great Jubilee, it is more important.”

She even described how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were unable to take advantage of their separation from the royal family due to how their behavior was perceived in the United States. Of Megxit, Cele Otnes shared:

“I think their actions were seen as individual and self-serving actions.”

The professor went on to say that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry failed to grasp the source of their popularity while still royals. Because of this, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex struggled to create a new brand in the United States.

The marketing professor said:

“Meghan fails to understand that the popularity she might enjoy in this brand has everything to do with royalty and very little to do with Meghan – and very little to do with Harry.”

Cele Otnes thinks the message sent by their headlines has further confused Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Most, if not all, royal fans know that the royal couple were stripped of HRH items, military sponsorships and royal affiliations after the Megxit. However, they continue to use the titles Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The professor said Sussex’s titles had become a “meaningless” gesture only serving to puzzle the public. Cele Otnes said:

“I think it’s a bit meaningless. If you’re not involved with the Royal Family and you can’t use the HRH, and the Queen has told you, ‘All right, if you don’t want to be involved, you’re not involved.’ What does it mean?”

She added that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry hadn’t fully understood that the titles had little frame of reference in the US and said America didn’t have “the kind of reverence for those titles”.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on these statements.

Kristen Stewart has no idea Meghan Markle and Prince Harry living in California

Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart revealed in a recent interview with Vanity Fair that she had no idea Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved to California in 2020.
