mpact Adhesives 8000 Series is aimed primarily at the maintenance engineer who keeps the
wheels of industry turning. Sometimes, the most efficient maintenance management cannot
prevent breakdowns and repair is often the only option.
Our range of products will keep those wheels turning, often preventing that breakdown
occurring. The range detailed below shows only a small proportion of products available.
AEROSOL PRODUCTS
Spray contact adhesive has aggressive tack and many uses. M8030 will bond paper,
cardboard, insulation materials, metal, stone and most common substrates.
Silicone spray is pure silicone oil which puts slip where you want it and prevents
the adherence of glues, waxes and oils. It acts as a water repellent and retards corrosion,
reduces friction and protects electronic components.
Penetrating oil is our high grade oil formulated to give high penetration with long
lasting properties. It contains Molybedenum Disulphide which gives the benefit of deeper
penetration and greater protection against the elements. M8034 is ideal for use on solenoids,
plungers, switches, tail pipes, nuts and bolts where corrosion is a problem.
Heavy duty degreaser is a blend of highly active solvents, emulsifiers and
biodegradable surfactants. It contains corrosion inhibitors to eliminate the potential
hazard of rusting. Applications include degreasing large engineering machinery and small
components. M8036 is particularly useful in garages, fitting shops and maintenance
departments.
Solvent cleaner and degreaser (Multi-Purpose) developed for surfaces that will be
lubricated, bonded or sealed. It leaves no residue and is suitable for removing grease,
dirt and oil from electrical parts, tools and precision tools. M8038 is available in bulk
packaging.
Electrical cleaner dissolves grease and flushes away particles of oil before
rapidly evaporating. It leaves no residue or stains. It is safe on most plastics, fabrics
and surface coatings and is ideally suited for use on printed circuit boards, switches,
relays, data processing equipment cases and office equipment including typewriters.
Anti spatter is water based, non flammable and contains an effective corrosion
inhibitor. It is ideal for use on all welding systems also on hot or cold metals. M8042
contains no silicone so that substrates need no special cleaning or preparation prior to
painting
Zinc primer etches itself into the metal and withstands up to 200C. It can be used
on cars, fencing, railings, walkways and machinery. M8044 contains zinc and is ideal also
for protecting wood and staking posts as an effective barrier against wood rot.
Food safe lubricant is specially formulated for use in the food industry where
contact with edible products means that extreme care is necessary. It does not contain
silicones, making it ideal for use where paints are to be used, such as automotive spray
booths. M8046 can be used on chains, bearings, slides, doors, and curtain runners etc.
Copper anti seize is designed for operating at very high temperatures and under
excessive pressures. It is a compound of metal powders based on a molybdenum disulphide
offering high performance where other lubricants fail. M8048 is safe on all metals, rubbers
and plastics. It is non flamma-ble, non toxic and resistant to salt and fresh water. M8048
is used on hinges, pins, axles, exhaust pins, boiler fittings, burners and many other
applications.
Chain and cable lubricant is dual action. Firstly, it penetrates deep into the
substrate and then leaves behind a heavy duty coating of grease. M8050 is suitable for
wire ropes, chains as well as open gears, winches, drill rigs, earth moving equipment and
fork lifts.
EPOXY REPAIR RODS
Steel rod is a hand kneadable, non rusting, steel reinforced epoxy putty that
mixes in one minute to provide fast, permanent repairs to ferrous and aluminium metals.
It repairs iron pipes, cracked castings, duct work, stripped threads, gutters and blow
holes. Steel Rod can be drilled, sanded and painted.
Wood rod is our non shrinking filled epoxy putty with the density of wood. After
curing it can be drilled, sawn, sanded and stained. Wood rod fills nail and screw holes
and gouges. It can also be used for replacing rotten wood, repairing doors, furniture
and mouldings etc.
Aluminium rod, aluminium filled epoxy putty is non rusting and mixes in one minute.
It repairs aluminium roofing and sidings, stripped threads, pipes and castings, gear,
refrigeration unit, signs, tools, truck and trailer bodies etc. M8102 can be drilled,
tapped, sawn, abraded and painted.
Concrete rod looks and feels like concrete. It mixes in approximately one minute,
repairing and patching chipped concrete floors, bricks and for sealing tie rod holes and
anchoring. M8103 can be drilled, filed, sanded and painted.
Plastic rod bonds and repairs most plastics with the exception of polyolefins. It
is suitable for most ridged and flexible plastics. It will bond and seal typical plumbing
plastics such as PVC, CPVC, ABS and also most common automotive plastics. M8104 can be
drilled, sanded, sawn and painted.
Copper rod is an epoxy putty developed for emergency repairs to water tanks, pipes,
water heaters, traps and drains. M8105 will repair hot water lines permanently and bonds
to damp, wet and slow leaking surfaces. Ideal for plumbers, industrial and domestic use,
M8105 can be sanded, tapped, machined and painted.
Aqua rod is used for emergency repairs on water vessels. It moulds permanently to
fibre glass, metal and wood. M8106 repairs scratches, gouges and holes in boat decks and
hulls. M8106 also repairs pipes, water tanks, leaking gaskets, battery cases, electrical
connection, fuel tanks, sinks, and toilet basins. It forms emergency gaskets and is suitable
for fresh water and salt water. M8106 can be drilled, sanded, tapped and painted.
SYRINGE PACKS/KITS & REPAIR BANDAGE
general purpose repair epoxy is supplied in twin syringe format for ease of use.
It repairs and bonds most common substrates including metals, wood and some plastics.
M8210 has an open time of ten to fifteen minutes allowing for larger or more difficult
repairs.
rapid cure clear epoxy is suitable for emergency repairs. It is supplied in a
twin syringe for easy application. It bonds most common substrates found in industry
such as ceramic, metal and wood and allows for handling in as little as five minutes
giving a fast turn around for repairs.
metal filled epoxy is available in syringe and kit form. It bonds and repairs
ferrous metals such as castings and steel structures. M8215 has handling strength in
around fifteen minutes allowing for fast repairs.
Multi-glass resin repair tape is designed for emergency repairs to pipe work
and ducting. It is simple to use and enables leaking steam and water pipe work to be
repaired without delay. Simply place the repair bandage in tepid water for a short
time and then wrap MULTI-GLASS around the pipe or ducting for a very strong, long
lasting repair. MULTI-GLASS can be sanded and painted and is available in three widths
and lengths for small or large repairs
HAND CLEANERS
hand cleaner is a non solvent based, non toxic skin cleanser incorporating
moisturising agents. M8390 needs no pre-wetting and is 100% soluble. It has a
powerful action cutting through grime, ground in grease, paints and inks and general
soiling without causing irritation or de-fatting of the skin. M8390 is a concentrate
and can be diluted up to three time for heavy industry and six times for lighter soiling.
is our extra heavy duty hand cleaner. It is a neutral blend of surfactants and
emulsifiers with the addition of plastic granules which gently abrade the skin with-out
causing irritation. M8392 can be used diluted or neat and is effective against most
common contaminants such as asphalt, tar, printing inks, paints grease and oil.
Rust converter is a cream coloured, brushable, rust converter for the passivation of residual
rust on metals. It combines with an electrochemical function to form a physical barrier.
M8400 can be overcoated with a wide variety of surface coatings such as alkyd paints,
epoxys esters, urethane oils, thermoplastic paints, chlorinated rubbers /vinyls/acrylics/tars
and bituminous compounds. M8400 meets DIN 50 014 - DIN 50 017 - as tested by The TUV
organisation.
